China's 2019 two sessions – the annual sessions of the National People's Congress (NPC) and the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) – is drawing to a close. As the country's most important political gathering, the event has attracted domestic and worldwide attention with various items on the agenda.
